Citiesclass Vol 2: Explore Advanced Site Analysis for Effective TOD Planning
Citieslab successfully conducted Citiesclass Volume 2: Explore Advanced Site Analysis for Effective TOD Planning on June 20, 2025, through an online session. The program was designed specifically for active D3 and undergraduate students to strengthen their analytical skills in site analysis, particularly in supporting transit-oriented development (TOD) planning.
The session provided participants with practical insights into advanced site analysis, combining both theoretical understanding and hands-on exercises. Participants explored key elements of site analysis, including the integration of spatial and non-spatial data to support comprehensive planning decisions.
As part of the learning experience, participants engaged in a case study of the MRT Senayan area, where they analyzed surrounding urban conditions and translated their findings into professional maps. The training also introduced the use of GIS tools alongside layout development in Adobe Illustrator to enhance the quality of spatial visualization.
Through this initiative, Citieslab continues to support capacity building for future planners in developing more effective and data-driven urban planning solutions.
