CITIESTALK: Bernardus Djonoputro - Pemindahan Ibu Kota, Mencari Kota Layak Huni di Indonesia
The capital city relocation was a highlighted issue in Indonesia, bringing up pros and cons from many perspectives, particularly in creating a livable Indonesian City. On June 27th, 2019, in Jakarta, Citieslab and IAP hosted “Citiestalk,” a talk showformatted discussion to discuss contemporary urban issues related to capital city relocation. Indonesian and international experts in urbanism were involved and shared their perspectives. The audience was also given a chance to be actively participate in the discussion. It brought up several critical points of view in designing a new livable city, such as smart infrastructure, peoplescale design, bottom-up planning, and mobility efficiency.
In this session, Bernardus Djonoputro, emphasized that the provision of infrastructure, people-scale design, bottom-up planning, and efficient mobility are key ingredients in ensuring the new capital becomes a successful and livable city.
