CITIESTALK: Bagus Adikusumo - Pemindahan Ibu Kota, Mencari Kota Layak Huni di Indonesia
The capital city relocation was a highlighted issue in Indonesia, bringing up pros and cons from many perspectives, particularly in creating a livable Indonesian City. On June 27th, 2019, in Jakarta, Citieslab and IAP hosted “Citiestalk,” a talk showformatted discussion to discuss contemporary urban issues related to capital city relocation. Indonesian and international experts in urbanism were involved and shared their perspectives. The audience was also given a chance to be actively participate in the discussion. It brought up several critical points of view in designing a new livable city, such as smart infrastructure, peoplescale design, bottom-up planning, and mobility efficiency.
In this session, Bagus Adikusumo highlighted that creating an investment-friendly and marketable city is essential to fostering urban vibrancy, economic vitality, and overall liveliness.
