CITIESTALK: Sacha Schwarzkopf - Pemindahan Ibu Kota, Mencari Kota Layak Huni di Indonesia
The capital city relocation was a highlighted issue in Indonesia, bringing up pros and cons from many perspectives, particularly in creating a livable Indonesian City. On June 27th, 2019, in Jakarta, Citieslab and IAP hosted “Citiestalk,” a talk showformatted discussion to discuss contemporary urban issues related to capital city relocation. Indonesian and international experts in urbanism were involved and shared their perspectives. The audience was also given a chance to be actively participate in the discussion. It brought up several critical points of view in designing a new livable city, such as smart infrastructure, peoplescale design, bottom-up planning, and mobility efficiency.
In this session, Sacha Schwarzkopf emphasized that infrastructure plays a fundamental role in creating livable cities, not only through the provision of airports, seaports, and roads, but also through the development of smart infrastructure, supportive habitats, and integrated urban ecosystems.
